Since 2005, the Canton Road Race has raised funds for area organizations and scholarships. Canton Association of Business & Industry distributes 100% of race proceeds to local organizations, giving out more than $650,000 in the last decade. Past recipients include the Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children, formerly the Massachusetts Hospital School, Canton Police and Fire Departments, and the Canton Food Pantry. The proceeds also fund scholarships for students of Canton High School and Blue Hills Regional Technical School who volunteer within the community.
